Having been an official ambassador for L’Oreal for over a quarter of a century, Kinki is a Dutch chain of hairdressers with a respected reputation within the hair industry. With 42 salons already proving a huge success across the Netherlands, Kinki branched out to Barcelona over 2 years ago, where under the direction of experienced stylist Arnold, they opened their first salon to be located outside Holland. (Did you know - In Amsterdam, the word kinki is slang for something that is exciting or different)

Kinki´s ethos of striving to provide customers with a unique hair dressing experience that uses a variety of languages has been a huge success in Barcelona, so much so that they are already looking to open more salons in the city over the coming months. When they do so, Kinki will be striving to emulate the fascinating decor and relaxed atmosphere that they have created in their existing Barcelona store.

Graffiti murals painted on the wall by local artists, varying types of multicoloured seating, and headphones in the waiting area to entertain you with some funky tunes while you wait – these little touches all combine to create the huge appeal that this salon now has in the city.

But the main reason that Kinki has already gained such popularity within the city is down to the extremely capable and dedicated work of their friendly stylists. They have an incredible attention to detail and a strong desire to give each and every customer a haircut which will mean they leave the salon both feeling good and looking great.

If you´re feeling particularly adventurous, Kinki dares you to try their Blind Date service. After discussing your likes and dislikes in the world of hair, Kinki´s stylists then cover up the mirror with a cloak and cut your hair without you knowing exactly what they are doing. Once their creation is complete, they´ll dramatically remove the cloak and introduce you to the new look you in the mirror.
