Three words - great looking skin.

Now before all you men out there go flicking straight past these pages – hold it right there because this concerns you too! Having confidence in your skin can have a huge impact on your ability to feel and look good, no matter what your sex.

To help us turn those three words into reality, Porktie called for professional help. We met up with Barcelona based make-up artist and skincare guru Lucie Worship – to discover how 5 ´his and hers´ tips can help us all to achieve great summer skin. Two sexes, Three words, Five steps...

 

For her - Beach Make-up in 5 steps

• Step 1. Prime & Protect

First things first - the summer sun is extremely powerful, so you need to make sure your skin is fully protected as well as looking fabulous. Do so by applying Becca Mineral Primer over the face & neck – it provides Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 30 but also ´mattifies´ without the need for powder and helps the rest of your make-up stay put. Don't forget to put a little on eyelids and lips too!

• Step 2. Perfect

Dispensing with heavier foundations in the sun doesn't mean our skin needs to look any less than flawless. Apply Becca Luminous Skin Colour all over face & neck with a brush or fingers, starting in the centre of the face and working out to give the most natural finish.

• Step 3 - Lips & Cheeks

The new wave of lasting silicone based products are perfect for wearing in the warmer months. Becca Beach tints provide a gorgeous wash of colour for lips & cheeks (and they´re waterproof too). Using your finger, dab a tiny amount on the cheeks and pat on lips to create a lasting stain.

• Step 4 - Eyes

Swirl a fluffy brush in some Becca Creme Shadow, then dab off the excess before applying a wash of colour all over the eyelid for maximum staying power. If time is short apply directly to primed eyelids with fingers. Add a good coat of black waterproof mascara for more drama. Extra tip. take a small dab of creme eyeshadow and apply to cupids bow, cheek & brow bones for an extra glow.

• Step 5 - Beach to Bar

Heading somewhere a little more glam straight from the beach? A swipe of Becca Lipgloss will take lips from subtle to sexy in a second. Use a black eyeliner inside the eye to complete the look.

For him - 5 Essential Summer Skin Fixers

Ever wanted to know how to take care of skin with minimum fuss? Follow these 5 steps to stay bronzed and blemish free this summer -

• 1. Clean

Got a nasty mosquito bite, spot, razor rash or over done the sun? Don´t worry, Mother Nature’s got it covered - use Aloe Vera to help calm redness, soothe and heal burnt skin. The best way to harness its power is literally straight from the leaf - break a small section off and squeeze the juice straight onto the affected area. Job done.
